Da jbt, nisam procitao dobro, ali isti kurac...trebao bi Boston da pokrije nekako, bez Aldridza bez Lopeza, mogao bi mozda Salindzer da prebaci isto u Bostonu...on i Joe J od igraca+Boston da pokrije...

i'm taking boston +7.5 at portland tomorrow for the $25k. portland is down their two best big men, and they are in a stretch of NBA schedule the likes of which i have never seen. tomorrow's game will be their third in four nights, ho-hum that happens all the time in the NBA, i know. but wait, tonight's game was portland's seventh since january 10th, and they have had to get on a plane and travel after all seven. the injuries to aldridge and lopez mean heavier minutes for key contributors, and tonight's game in phoenix was both physically and emotionally draining as they lost late after expending a ton of energy mounting a massive comeback. they also have a possible look-ahead scenario as the next game is against a much better, higher-profile opponent in washington.

on the other side, boston isn't very good. they've lost three straight and appear to have nothing to play for. but i remember a time not long ago when my hawks were young and shitty like the celtics are now, and this is the type of game they typically show up for. all these guys are trying to prove they are a star, or prove they belong in the league on a team that doesn't suck at some point in the future. there's no look-ahead for them, this IS the big game. they have been chilling in portland for two days, resting, practicing, watching film, saving the whales with hippies, etc. and they have to smell the blood in the water and know they have a chance to beat a quality opponent in this one.

to be frank, the pick scares the hell out of me, but i've gone with the game that jumped off the page at me throughout the streak. i feel like this would be a poor time to change strategies.

i will end by saying thank you once again to everyone that's supported me throughout, and by apologizing to my managers and peers as i will be utterly useless at work tomorrow.
